Just checkin In

Hey there, this is Sydneyru working on Mom’s computer tonight. Don’t think she’ll bug me about using it, she had a pretty nutso’ day. Met someone for coffee I think downtown, came home to take care of me in the way that I’ve become accustomed to and headed out again. The gym is where I think she headed. Hasn’t been there for a few days and I think she might be going through with drawls. I sometimes think if they would allow me inside there, she’d move.

Oh!, If any of you are reading this you might also want to check out her Fan Page on facebook. She follows these holistic vets and more often than not, finds something worth saying. She post’s the article there thinking they might be of use to you. Today, while she was trying to get excited about moving in a forward direction like setting up a Aweber account, making a landing page for a human Diet Solution, building a lead magnet and all that other stuff. She get’s so confused and it’s so easy for her to just stop doing anything. Once there, the process is she puts the computer away so I don’t have access to it until she’s figured out what she’s going to do and how to do it and then a concern crosses her mind about who’s going to help her. Now I did tell you people she pays some company money every month, you would think they would at least put her in the right direction. Blogging for example, they never told her to even read others. She’s been snooping on who she likes what they say and follows what they do and somehow finds out how to straighten out her own work out. Some call it lucky, she just says it’s the way her brain does not work.

Oh did I tell you that she got this damn hamster that’s very very cute. Sometime you will see it scam across the floor when the cat is sleeping. Remember he’s deaf so it’s much to the little girls glory. And when he’s awake she struck around the house in this clear ball that Mom got her. She’s so trusting with Mom, even lets her kiss her little belly or sits on her shoulder and watches T.V. Did you know that hamsters teethe don’t have roots so they just keep growing and that is why they seem to chew on everything.

Oh yea, she still is doing the Ferrell’s, hasn’t brought one home so far yet, still feeding the cat that lives under us and pretty much everything seems to be crazy as usual. Just the way it should be.

What’s been happening

Hey there, this is Sydneyru the dog here. Actually I should say,”coming live from my toes”. Isn’t that what I’m typing with? Sorry I haven’t been on for a bit, Mom took and almost threw this out. It was a sad day here at the house. Mom found out she really couldn’t take on the business she had so wanted to Found her brain was taking leave of absence on what most would say “the senior moment” only she found she was having no time to do much of anything besides wrack her brain and pay people to do such a thing. I think, although I don’t know for sure, that she wants to share her experience about her brain injury and the trial and tribulations that she has had to find her way through. I’m going to continue with this in the hopes that I am able to find some news that’s worthy of the people that might be following me.

I guess I should finally tell you who I am and what I’m all about. I’ve told you about my family. The ones that share my house still and the ones that have passed. I guess I should consider my sisters who did stay with my other Mom in Portland as dead because it’s not thought of that we has people with four legs have any feelings about sisters. Many think that is just a people thing. My Mom’s bf knows to think about her dog Joey, who I told you about, and his feeling about seeing my Mom and of course mwa! Guess we got an email that we will be seeing them this week! YEA for me! I finally get to see Mary and Mom thinks she’s her friend. I think we have a love relationship just like Mom and Joey.

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Mom walked into a perfect job.(non paying of course) She is now working with a project that’s called PAWS. She’s become very involved with visiting the kittens which are feral and she wants to main street them to at least trust humans to some degree. Not too long ago she got her hands on this kitten that was so afraid of everything and everyone but loved and totally trusted Mom. Being the person she is, every one said he missed his brother so she gave him up after adopting him. I think her heart is still broken and come to find out it wasn’t even the brother that wanted him, it was the wife of the guy that took the brother. Another story and I’m sure more will run into her so she’ll have more love to share.

Well I’ve become long winded and I should be going as my paws are becoming quite locked in place. Did you ever realize what torture it is for me to , 1 sit at this table that has a chair that just might be comfortable for humans that have a bend at their waste to sit or 2, the fact that my nails must be the correct length to not miss the darn keys. Just imagine what torture it could be and after you realize the truth you will wonder just how I managed to type more than on paragraph. Well now I’m finally signing out. TICKS AND MOSQUITOES

Good Morning,This is Sydneyru the dog here again.

Ticks and mosquitoes could they be secretly infecting your dog. I’m here bringing you some vital information on the care of my well being. Mom took me for my yearly visit to the vets and of course I shook as though she might be abusing me. Maybe because it seems as though every time she took one of my brothers or sisters to the vets when they were about my age, she came home alone. I forget that she does it out of the goodness of her heart. It must be kind of unnerving for her also. Never thought of it that way. You do know it’s supposed to be all about me, right? Anyway, her and Dr. Collins, mom calls her Kerry, had this discussion about animals that test positive for heart worm. Mom’s never been told that someone feels the same way as she does and it is a healthy way to approach the subject of deciding what is best for your friend. Mom can’t see what right and true to keep your pet alive while we do all the suffering.
It’s bad enough to know that they love us and yet expect us to endure the pain of even the gentlest stroke of our fur down the back. A touch that we had always welcomed.

Back Again Finally

Hello there, this is sydneyru2 here, Almost seems like Mom wasn’t ever going to get me a puter after the other one died. She kept taking it to Best Buy over and over until she finally decided to, as she would say, bite the bullet and get me a new one. It’s not like she doesn’t get the use out of them. She probably works on them about 6 hours a day after she does her gym thing.

The last time I wrote I don’t quite remember too well.

Come to think of it, last night was a terrible scare for us. Mom, being the blind one without her glasses can pretty much get a long in our home with out the glasses. Yesterday however was Brodie and mine’s treatment for fleas. Yea, you guessed right Mom gave me Brodies and gave Brodie mine. I’m a wee bit larger, not much but enough so that there was too much medication for him. You know I never realized just how much that little bit more would make him walk like he was drunk. Not a funny drunk either and he couldn’t get close enough to Mom. Sue at the vets when Mom called and told them what she thought she had done said that we were lucky. It could have wound up to be a very wrong occasion and as much as I have disliked the little twirp, I’d miss him. Seems like we have had him living with us for longer than he’s been here.

Oh yea, Mom took on another job. Watching one more dog. I sure wish I wasn’t as old as I am. This one is only 2 and one of her strides would take four of mine. Her Mother busted her leg and Mom has to go out and run her in the blueberry field.

Sorry I’m ending this so short. I am certainly glad Mom finally got something so I could chat with you. Kinda tell you how my life is or isn’t going. Hopefully I’ll have more to write tomorrow after Mom leaves for the gym. You all have a great evening and as Mom would say, “sleep with the angels”

Therapy Dogs

Hello there, it’s Sydneyru the dog here.

I’m going to tell you about some of the great dogs I read about on the internet. People say they are therapy dogs. I guess because they need to pass several tests and make the human pets sure that they won’t do something out of the way like stealing someones food(?) or knocking them over being too friendly. My brother, the cat I didn’t want and I wouldn’t make very good therapy animals at all. Number 1, I don’t really like strangers, it takes me awhile to warm up to people. Besides, don’t tell her I said this, but Mom’s too dependent on us for being there for her. So back to the therapy dogs. A vet check up is necessary to get all the shots first. They also require them to be somewhat clean and somewhat calm. Remember they are supposed to go into places to make a calming affect. Another reason why I’m home bound, plus I can’t shut my mouth. I’m not comfortable at all with strangers. Womyn are easier but I still get mouthy.

Meggy and Gunner are brother and sister Goldens (golden retrievers) Gunner the brother has been a service dog for four years and decided to drag his sister along after he had two years experience. He’s 92 pounds of gentle love and Meggy, his sister is only 48 pounds. Although, they love going to help others, Meggy also competes in the show dog arena. She’s traveled to Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia, Virginia amongst other states and is very well liked and by the sounds of it, does very well. Most of all though she loves playing with little people and her big brother, Gunner.

Then there are my Mom’s favorite dogs, besides me! The shiht-zu is small and pretty much lap size. I’ve never met a shiht-zu that was anything but care free and loving everyone and the attention that goes with it.
They say that she has gone up to a 10 month old and just sat making sure nothing was going to harm the child. I believe it. Isabella has been a therapy dog for about 8 months. As soon as she sees children, her tail, actually the whole end of her starts wagging double time.

If you have read further back in my blog you will see where I wrote about my brother, who I lost and my sisters who we moved away from, were all that breed so there had to be something Mom and her partner loved about them.
Oh yea, when I was a puppy the womyn tried to sell me as one. My legs grew too long and my face just wasn’t right. The receptionist at my vet says I look too much like a Griffy to be confused with anything else. But who really knows what puppies look like when they are amongst a bunch of other breeds. Confusion I think is the word. Mom didn’t care what I was. Of course she just loved me and that doesn’t come with a breed.

Hot Spots

Hello there, it’s Sydneyru the dog here.

Hot Spots on your dog? Try the formula; Mix 10 drops of GFX (grapefruit Extract) per each oz. of water. Tap or distilled water is fine. Put this mixture in a spray bottle and apply two or three times a day until it goes away. IF the spot becomes covered in a yellow pus you may have waited to long, but I have even had good results with these kind of hot spots. Keeping it clean and perhaps cutting the hair away to help it dry is a good idea but not always necessary. Years ago German shepherd breeders used a mild form of bleach and water which as OK but not near as good a s the GFX.
